Young Thug To Perform First Post-Prison Show At Belgian Festival.

Young Thug is preparing for his first live performance since being released from prison last Halloween. However, instead of performing in the United States, he will take the stage overseas. The rapper has been announced as the headliner for the third day of Belgium’s Les Ardentes festival, scheduled for July 5.

Festival organizers shared the news on social media, emphasizing the significance of his return. The official announcement included a flyer and a caption stating, “History. Young Thug is back to headline Les Ardentes! 5th July at Les Ardentes. Tickets on sale this Wednesday!” According to the festival’s website, this will be Thug’s first appearance at Les Ardentes in eight years, with his last performance at the event taking place in 2017. His label, YSL Records, acknowledged the announcement by commenting on the post with “Slatt” alongside a snake and lime-green heart emoji.

Although Thug is moving forward with his music career, he continues to face legal challenges. He is currently dealing with a civil lawsuit from entertainment company AEG, which claims he violated a 2017 touring agreement. AEG filed the lawsuit in December 2020, stating that Thug received a $5.3 million advance but did not repay the amount. The company asserts that he used his music copyrights as collateral and argues that they have the right to claim them as part of the agreement.

In addition to Young Thug, Ken Carson is the only other American rapper scheduled to perform at Les Ardentes. Carson will take the stage on July 4, the day before Thug’s performance. The festival lineup includes a variety of international artists, making it one of the more notable music events in Europe.

Fans interested in attending can purchase tickets through the festival’s official website.
