Young Thug appears ready to get back in the studio with fellow Atlanta rapper Lil Baby, just days after his release from Fulton County Jail. Following over two years entangled in a RICO case involving his label, YSL, Thug tweeted at Lil Baby, also known as “Wham,” suggesting a collaboration. “Wham let’s drop one on these rats peter,” he posted on X.
Lil Baby responded in his Instagram Stories, welcoming Thug home with a message saying he missed him and was glad he was back with family in good health and spirits. He wished Thug “nothing but billions” and used the hashtag #whatwhamsaysgoes.
Billboards have since appeared across Los Angeles displaying the phrase “Whatever Wham Says Goes” repeatedly, in a style reminiscent of Bart Simpson’s chalkboard lines. This phrase, which many recall from a June tweet by Thug, has sparked speculation about an upcoming collaboration between the two artists.

The phrase also nods to an incident in December 2023, when Lil Baby allegedly criticized Gunna, a YSL member, after Gunna took a plea deal and was released from jail amid the YSL case. Although some controversy remains over Gunna’s actions, Thug’s father has publicly defended him, and a judge recently granted Thug permission to collaborate with him again. Fans now await how these relationships will evolve and the anticipated release of new music from Thug and Wham.
