Yo Gotti has confirmed that he will work with DJ Drama once more on the upcoming Gangsta Grillz mixtape.
As a sort of follow-up to their 2006 CD I Told U So, the Memphis rapper said on Wednesday (July 26) that he intends to collaborate with the Philadelphia DJ and producer once more. The effort will be named I Showed U So.
“Hanging Out Da Phantom In A Foreign Country With My N-ggas Wit Me & Da Girl I Always Wanted – Still Ain’t Did My Net Worth But I Gotta Be Up 9 Figures,” Yo Gotti posted.
“I Manifested This Sh!T ‘I SHOWED U SO’ GANGSTA GRILLZ Me & @DJDRAMA 8/4 FIRST SONG & VIDEO DROP TOMORROW,” the rapper says.
Gotti has pledged to release the first song from his upcoming album, I Showed U So, on Thursday, July 27. The new Gotti album is due out on August 4.
Fans, like Ice from The Joe Budden Podcast, are thrilled to hear Gotti and Drama team up once more. He remarked on the post, “This finna be the oneeeeee.”
“Damn this crap makes me feel like a youngster in 2006 again!” “Nawwww Not Old Gotti And Dj Drama I’m Having Flash Backs!” a third fan chimed in.
The duo’s 2006 mixtape, I Told U So, was a turning point in the illustrious career of the Memphis native. Slim Thug, Young Buck, Lil Keke, and other artists contributed to the project, and 17 years later Yo Gotti can look back on a long list of successes and achievements.
Given that Gotti recently disclosed that he spent $5 million on a celebratory shopping extravaganza for his 42nd birthday in May, it’s safe to say that he is enjoying the benefits of his labor these days.
