Three decades after redefining hip-hop, Wu-Tang Clan continues to make history. On Monday (Nov. 10), a day after fans marked the unofficial Wu-Tang Clan Day, the Staten Island collective received several new RIAA certifications — including a platinum plaque for their 1992 debut single “Protect Ya Neck.”
Their landmark 1993 album Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) is now certified 4x Platinum, with standout tracks like “C.R.E.A.M.” (4x Platinum), “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing ta F Wit” (Platinum), and “Method Man” (Platinum) also receiving updated honors. “Bring Da Ruckas” and “Da Mystery of Chessboxin’” each earned Gold certifications.
Celebrating its 32nd anniversary this month, 36 Chambers remains one of hip-hop’s defining releases, originally peaking at No. 41 on the Billboard 200. “C.R.E.A.M.” stands as the group’s top-charting single, reaching No. 60 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spending 16 weeks there.
Following the success of their $30.6 million-grossing Final Chamber North American tour, Wu-Tang will take their farewell run worldwide in 2026. The tour launches March 2 in Amsterdam and includes stops in Berlin, Paris, London, Manchester, Dubai, and Australia.
