Wolfacjoeyy Emerged From The Internet Culture.

Wolfacjoeyy’s unique sound, characterized by a pulsating club beat, deep synth tones, and a blend of singing and rapping, is a product of his internet-driven musical education. Starting as a 14-year-old experimenting with beat-making in his bedroom, Joeyy delved into online chat groups for self-taught artists and producers. Transitioning from producing to recording, he uploaded his tracks to SoundCloud, gaining recognition for his eclectic style that drew influences from club, drill, and house.

While acknowledging popular influences like Tyler the Creator and Drake, Joeyy’s sound evolved into what he dubbed “trap ballads,” later incorporating elements of melodic drill and Jersey club. His diverse musical taste, shaped by internet collaborations and underground scenes globally, also includes Afrobeats. As a Nigerian artist, Joeyy feels a responsibility to do justice to Afrobeats, a genre rooted in his heritage.

Joeyy’s consistent release of music since 2020 gained mainstream attention in 2022 with the track “Shake It,” leading to his debut EP, “all your fault.” His hit club anthem “buku” went viral on TikTok in 2022, setting the foundation for his second EP, “22Joeyy,” in collaboration with Whereis22. Known for his personal style, Joeyy draws from streetwear and high fashion, expressing a desire to launch his own label in the future.

Balancing his growing music career with college studies in digital design, Joeyy remains dedicated to completing his degree. Inspired by his tour experience, he has intensified his beat-making efforts and is teasing a forthcoming project with the single “wya.” Although he holds off on a full-length album for now, Joeyy is focused on building and refining his skills, aiming for an impactful release that people will talk about when the time is right.
