Wiz Khalifa’s ‘Kush & Orange Juice 2’ Reportedly Dropping In April.

Wiz Khalifa’s Kush & Orange Juice 2, the sequel to his 2010 mixtape, is rumored to release on April 18. The date was shared by NFR Podcast, which also posted artwork that Wiz had previously revealed when discussing the project last year. However, Wiz himself has not officially confirmed the release date on social media or in his recent vlogs. If the date is accurate, the project will arrive just days after the 15th anniversary of Kush & Orange Juice, which was released on April 14, 2010.

Wiz first announced that the album was complete in March 2024. “Kush and Oj 2 is done and going into mixing,” he wrote on X at the time. He also thanked everyone involved in the project, referring to his Taylor Gang collective. Shortly after, Wiz mentioned that he had received new music from producer Cardo, who had contributed to the original mixtape. Cardo later confirmed his involvement, leading to further anticipation among fans.

While many listeners are eager for the sequel, some have expressed concerns about how it will compare to the original. One fan wrote, “Don’t you dare ruin Kush & OJ legacy,” while another called the project “high risk, high reward.” Lyrical Lemonade founder Cole Bennett shared his support, saying the first mixtape was one of his favorite projects.

In the months following the announcement, Wiz previewed a snippet from the album, which received mixed reactions. He described the project as a “classic” and revealed that he had worked with producers DJ Quik and Juicy J, as well as longtime collaborators Ty Dolla $ign and Problem (also known as Jason Martin).

The original Kush & Orange Juice played a key role in establishing Wiz’s early success, blending laid-back music with themes of marijuana culture. The mixtape also led to lasting collaborations, including work with Curren$y and Big K.R.I.T. On the 10th anniversary in 2020, K.R.I.T. reflected on their song “Glass House” and how it helped introduce him to Wiz’s fan base.

If Kush & Orange Juice 2 is released on April 18, it will arrive as Wiz continues to reflect on his earlier work while preparing for the next phase of his career.
