On Friday, June 2, “Sprinter” surpassed all previous records for the most streams in a single day in the UK, according to a report from Spotify on Monday (Jun. 5).
The song received the most Hip-Hop streams in a single day in the U.K.’s history on the streaming platform.
Outside of the U.K., Santan and Cench also had a significant impact, winning this week’s #1 new music streaming debut on Spotify.
With 3.867 million streams, “Sprinter” debuted at No. 9 on the global Spotify chart, according to Chart Data. The Weeknd & Playboi Carti lost out to Central Cee and Dave for the top new entry as a result of the placing.
“Sprinter” has received another 10 million YouTube views in the four days following its debut, proving that fans can’t get enough of the song. The two U.K. rap heavyweights made the decision to surprise their fans by releasing Split Decision, a four-track EP. View the video here
