As he gears up for the premiere of Bad Boys 4, Will Smith has added yet another significant date to his already packed calendar.
According to Deadline, the fourth entry in the wildly popular franchise, which also stars Martin Lawrence, is scheduled to arrive on June 14, 2024, on Father’s Day weekend.
The outlet added that the combined box office for the three previously released movies was $891 million, and they predict that the fourth installment will be equally lucrative.
On its debut weekend, the Disney/Pixar film Inside Out 2 will compete with Bad Boys 4.
Will Smith recently expressed his support for the strikes, calling them a flashpoint for the industry, and this has something to do with Sony’s decision to move up the release date.
He posted a brief discussion about acting on Instagram on Friday, July 28. “As some of you may have heard, my guild, @SAGAFTRA, and our writer colleagues in the WGA are on strike. It’s a crucial time for our industry.
“Despite the fact that I know I have been really fortunate and fortunate to have worked as an actor for all these years, there are still some days when I feel like that boy from Philadelphia who is on borrowed time. Those days when I feel like I don’t belong are becoming fewer and farther between owing to my friend, teacher, and mentor @aaronspeiser, whom I affectionately refer to as “coach.”
Back in April, TMZ published some behind-the-scenes photographs from the set of Bad Boys 4 that showed the 54-year-old actor grinning widely while working in Atlanta and patting his coworkers’ backs. After Smith and Martin Lawrence first unveiled their ideas for Bad Boys 4 back in January, the photographs were the first update to appear.
As he approached his co-star’s home, Will Smith posted on social media, “It’s about that time,” as “Shake Ya Tailfeather” from the Bad Boys II soundtrack played loudly over his car’s speakers.
