Warner Chappell Music Unifies Global Sync Operations Under EVP Rich Robinson

Warner Chappell Music has reorganized its global sync operations, bringing its frontline, catalog, and Production Music teams under the leadership of Rich Robinson, EVP of Global Synchronization and Media. The shift is designed to create a more unified strategy for pitching across the company’s full repertoire and aligns the Production Music division directly under Robinson, including VP of Creative Licensing Gavin Caroll.

As part of the restructuring, Robinson will also assume oversight of Warner Chappell’s Audio Asset division. The unit, led by Kailey Tenn, manages the company’s catalog materials and supports the sync teams by improving access to audio assets. WCM says the integration will help the company deliver music more quickly and accurately to clients, strengthening its overall sync capabilities.

Robinson continues to oversee the publisher’s global film, TV, and media music division. Christine Belden leads the US sync team, while Faith Adams oversees UK operations under Belden. Warner Chappell notes that the team has strengthened relationships across the filmed media sector, working with partners including A24, Artists Equity, Hartbeat, EA Games, and Protozoa Pictures. These collaborations have provided new sync pathways for the company’s diverse roster of songwriters.

Under Robinson’s leadership, Warner Chappell’s sync division has secured placements across major advertising and entertainment projects. Highlights include Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” in Nike’s first Super Bowl commercial in nearly three decades, as well as notable usage in Bridget Jones’ Diary and Babygirl. The team has also worked closely with the estates of artists such as Tom Petty, David Bowie, and George Michael to bring iconic catalogs into contemporary projects and new audiences.

Robinson, who joined Warner Chappell in 2018 and became the company’s first dedicated global sync head in 2019, said the unified structure allows the publisher to work more efficiently and creatively. He expressed gratitude toward Warner Chappell leadership for supporting this next phase of the company’s sync strategy.

Carianne Marshall, Co-Chair and COO of Warner Chappell Music, called the move an important step in expanding the publisher’s ability to deliver value for its songwriters. She credited Robinson and his team for their work in strengthening the company’s presence in the sync space and emphasized that the new structure positions Warner Chappell for continued innovation in a rapidly evolving industry.
