Victoria Monét isn’t quite ready to close the chapter on her Grammy Award-winning album Jaguar II just yet. On September 13, the “Alright” singer announced the much-anticipated deluxe version of the project is on its way.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), Victoria shared the release date, writing: “🐆 JAGUAR II DELUXE is on the way!! 🐆🤎 10/4! Pre-orders are available now. ✨🎉 Go do that, please 😌.”
Back in February, during an appearance on iHeart Radio’s The New Hit List, she mentioned that she had started working on the deluxe edition but didn’t provide much detail. Now, thanks to a recent interview with Apple Music’s New Music Daily, fans have a clearer picture. The deluxe edition will include several new songs within the Jaguar universe.
Victoria has already dropped a new track, “SOS (Sex On Sight)” featuring Usher, which will be part of the album. The Apple Music pre-save page lists eight unnamed tracks that will join “SOS (Sex On Sight)” and her Bryson Tiller collaboration, “We Might Even Be Falling In Love,” to complete the deluxe edition’s tracklist.
However, for Victoria’s superfans, this release is bittersweet. She has confirmed that the Jaguar II Deluxe will mark the end of this musical era, though there’s still more to look forward to from her in the future.
