Vevo has been announced as the sponsor for the Major Label: Record Company/Group of the Year category at the upcoming Music Business UK Awards. Nominees include Atlantic Records, Capitol Records, Columbia Records, Insanity, Island EMI, Ministry Of Sound, Polydor, RCA, Robots & Humans, and Warner Records.
The awards ceremony, presented by MBW and sponsored by YouTube, will take place on Tuesday, November 4, at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London. Tickets and tables are fully sold out.
Dot Levine, SVP of Global Communications at Vevo, said the company is proud to support the category, honoring teams that bring innovative artists to global audiences. Other awards on the night will recognize achievements in songwriting, production, A&R, legal, artist management, music publishing, and recorded music, with special presentations including the Icon Award and The Sir George Martin Award, which will be given to RCA Records’ CEO Peter Edge.
