Tyler, The Creator Teases New Chromakopia Tracks Ahead Of Album Release.

Tyler, The Creator continues to build excitement for Chromakopia by sharing more song snippets ahead of its release.

In a video posted on October 22, Tyler treated fans to clips of three unreleased tracks, showcasing the album’s sonic variety. The unnamed songs range from sweet and soulful to hard-hitting and distorted. Appearing in his now-iconic mask and military uniform, Tyler also used the video to promote vinyl pre-orders for Chromakopia.

This teaser follows the release of two singles: “St. Chroma,” featuring Daniel Caesar, and “NOID.” The latter, which dropped earlier this week, explores Tyler’s feelings of fame and paranoia. Over lush production combining fuzzy guitars and soulful elements, he raps: “I got a cannon underneath the bed, triple checkin’ if I locked the door… I’m paranoid!”

The “NOID” video, directed by Tyler, portrays this paranoia as he deals with intrusive fans, checks his surroundings while driving, and fortifies his home. The sepia-toned visuals end with him running barefoot on a road, suggesting a mental breakdown. The mask that’s been central to the Chromakopia rollout might represent more than a tribute to MF DOOM, reflecting deeper personal struggles.

The album is set to drop next Monday, October 28, ahead of Tyler’s star-studded Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in November.
