Tyler, The Creator Sees Strong Early Sales And Streaming For Don’t Tap The Glass With Over Half From Physical Copies.

Tyler, The Creator’s new album DON’T TAP THE GLASS is projected to open with strong numbers despite another unconventional rollout. Released on a Monday like his last project CHROMAKOPIA, the album is estimated to move 215,000 units in its first week, according to Hip Hop N More and NFR Podcast. This follows the trend of Tyler’s previous album, which approached 300,000 units in a similar release pattern.

Of the projected sales, 140,000 are reportedly from physical copies, accounting for about 65% of the total. This high physical share makes a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 very likely, though final chart placement will be confirmed closer to Tuesday.

On Spotify, Tyler’s ninth studio album made a major impact globally. Every track entered the top 30 of the Global Spotify chart. The opener “Big Poe” reached No. 2, while “Sugar On My Tongue” and “Sucka Free” also broke into the top 10 at No. 6 and No. 9, respectively. The album pulled in around 40 million first-day streams, marking one of the biggest rap streaming debuts of 2025.

While the album rollout was minimal, the themes of letting go and enjoying the moment were clear throughout. The early success suggests Tyler’s approach continues to resonate with listeners.
