Tyler, the Creator Reflects on Chromakopia Tour and Don’t Tap the Glass Reaching No. 1

Tyler, the Creator has wrapped the North American leg of his Chromakopia tour, which ended with a final stop at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on July 28. The tour featured support from Paris Texas and Lil Yachty, and marked a busy stretch for Tyler, who also released a new album, Don’t Tap the Glass, while still on the road.

Taking to Instagram a few days after the final show, Tyler reflected on the past few months. “77 shows, b***h I’m whooped,” he wrote. He thanked fans who came out to support and shared that Chromakopia had been certified platinum. At the same time, Don’t Tap the Glass debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, adding another accomplishment to his year. He also acknowledged the tour staff and crew who helped make the performances possible.

Among the shows, Tyler highlighted Cincinnati as a personal favorite and mentioned small moments that stood out, like watching Matilda on the bus and seeing families enjoy the music together. “Hearing the yells and feeling the freedom in the rooms was worth it,” he added. “Getting Don’t Tap the Glass out of this was worth it all. I’m tired as hell.”

While the U.S. leg of the tour has ended, Tyler is scheduled to continue performing internationally. He’ll head to Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines between August and September. With both albums now reaching significant milestones, Tyler, the Creator is taking time to appreciate the work behind the scenes and the audiences that made it possible.
