After days of cryptic teases, Tyler, The Creator has officially confirmed that a new album, Don’t Tap the Glass, will arrive on Monday, July 21. The announcement follows his standout feature on Clipse’s new album and a run of CHROMAKOPIA tour dates.
The news broke on Friday, July 18, outside Brooklyn’s Barclays Center where Tyler was performing. A life-sized figure installation bearing the phrase “Don’t Tap the Glass” was displayed near the venue, sparking immediate speculation. Later that night during the show, Tyler reportedly revealed the album’s title to fans in attendance.
His Golf Wang website has since been updated, offering the album on vinyl and CD, along with merchandise bundles that include t-shirts and hats. A dedicated album site also directs fans to purchase options and packages tied to the release.
Don’t Tap the Glass will be Tyler’s first full-length project since CHROMAKOPIA, released in fall 2024. That album was described by Complex’s Matthew Ritchie as “a varied concept album” and “Tyler’s most strikingly introspective piece of work to date.” It explored themes of self-awareness and creative reckoning, marking a different tone in Tyler’s catalog.
As the July 21 release approaches, Tyler appears ready to open another chapter—one that fans will soon hear in full.
