Tyga recently got some major new tattoos, and the process was reportedly so taxing that he needed to be given anaesthetic to make it through.
The “Rack City” rapper can be seen lying face down on the table as several tattoo artists ink his back in a video that Los Angeles tattoo artist Joaquin Ganga released on TikTok on Saturday (July 15). Ganga reported that Tyga was sound asleep while having a large tattoo of Jesus Christ dying on the cross done.
Ganga labeled the video “Project Sleeping [featuring] Tyga,” adding the hashtags “#anesthesia” and “#nopain.”
Ganga’s enormous new piece of art comes soon after the late TakeOff was remembered with a huge mural created by a number of tattoo artists earlier this month, which according to the Guinness Book of World Records was the largest tattoo piece ever.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a 79-foot piece of silicone skin was used to construct a mural honoring the late Atlanta rapper by tattoo artist J.R. Outlaw and his colleagues at Atlanta tattoo parlors such as Atlanta Ink, Iron Palm Tattoos & Body Piercing, and Pèse Noir. TakeOff is seen in the painting donning a spacesuit that is colored brown, orange, and green.
“I think TakeOff was just a big influence in the city and the culture of Atlanta, like in general,” Outlaw said to the source. “Really, the entire crew was involved. We simply wanted to do something to honor him since they had such a profound impact on the city; that’s truly what it was all about.
