Ty Dolla Sign And Kanye West To Host Listening Party In Taiwan For Vultures 2 Release.

There are long album rollouts, and then there’s Kanye West’s approach. The Chicago rapper has a reputation for making announcements he doesn’t follow through on. His February release with Ty Dolla Sign, Vultures 1, was meant to be the first part of a trilogy. However, there’s been no word on Vultures 2 and Vultures 3 until now. On July 25, Ty Dolla Sign made a surprising announcement with a single image. He revealed that Vultures 2 will be played in full in August.

Ty Dolla Sign shared a promotional flyer for a listening party scheduled for August 25 in Taiwan, described as a “listening experience.” The flyer credits both him and Kanye West above the title “Vultures.” At first glance, it seems like another event for the first album. However, Ty’s caption “V2” confirms that they are set to reveal the second album in their trilogy.

For context, Vultures 2 was originally slated for a March release, with the trilogy planned for consecutive monthly drops leading to Vultures 3 in April. Clearly, that timeline fell through as Kanye West faced numerous controversies. Ty Dolla Sign admitted he was uncertain about the release date but mentioned in May that Vultures 2 could arrive “any day now.” He recently told Billboard that all the tracks are finished. “We have all the songs,” Ty said. “It’s just a matter of figuring out how to make it bigger than the first album.” While many tracks, including collaborations with Young Thug, Lil Wayne, and Kid Cudi, have leaked online, no new release date has been announced. Nevertheless, the listening parties are a promising sign that the Vultures trilogy may still be completed.
