Travis Scott's Secret A24 Film 'In Limbo' Ahead Of 'Utopia' Release

Travis Scott reportedly put together an A24 movie to premiere alongside his next Utopia album, but there are already concerns that it won’t happen.

According to The Film Stage, Scott wrote and starred in an A24 film that Harmony Korine covertly directed. The rapper, though, is said to have put the movie in “serious limbo” by refusing to approve its distribution.

They allegedly produced an action-focused feature picture that was “shot entirely in infrared” and just test-screened at the Metrograph in New York.

Uncertainty surrounds the “first ever screening of a very special filmmaker’s secret new project” that Metrograph has announced for this coming Sunday, July 16.

Cactus by Travis Scott In August 2021, Scott and his firm signed a production agreement with A24, under which they will work together to create films with the renowned content studio.

During that time, insiders informed Variety that the first “special project” was already in development and would be released alongside his Utopia album.

After the deal became known, Travis Scott posted on Instagram, saying, “Life is a movie.” The goal of @cactusjack and @a24, who produced this album, was to create excellent stuff for the future through media. I’ll start with this.”

Its name, ending in ia, and appearance as a blood-stained movie script in the accompanying image have led to rumors that it is either Utopia or Dystopia.

Then, in June 2022, Travis Scott posted a behind-the-scenes peek at a shoot with Harmony Korine that featured body armor, weapons, and masks on Instagram.

In the past, Korine created the artwork for Cactus Jack’s JACKBOYS album and took part in the “Last Time” music video with Travis Scott that was released.

He is most known for creating the 1995 coming-of-age film Kids and directing feature films like Gummo, Julien Donkey-Boy, Mister Lonely, Spring Breakers, and The Beach Bum.

In 2020, Tyler, The Creator, and A$AP Rocky collaborated with Korine on a Gucci tailoring campaign.
