Travis Scott and the JACKBOYS collective have returned to the top of the Billboard 200 with their new album JACKBOYS 2, which debuted at No. 1 with 232,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. during its first week, according to Billboard. Of that total, 160,000 units came from pure album sales, making it the top-selling album of the week.
The remaining 72,000 units were from streaming equivalent albums, driven by 94.86 million on-demand official streams of the album’s tracks. The project also reached No. 4 on the Top Streaming Albums chart. The strong sales numbers were supported by a mix of physical and digital formats, including a seven-track version for digital and vinyl, a 17-track streaming edition, and a deluxe 20-track version that was released on the final day of Billboard’s tracking period.
Additional sales were fueled through exclusive merchandise and formats available on the JACKBOYS webstore. These included vinyl variants, boxed sets bundled with branded clothing, and special edition CDs and digital downloads.
The album’s release came during a competitive chart week, with five new entries in the Billboard 200 top 10. Justin Bieber’s surprise album SWAG debuted at No. 2 with his biggest streaming week to date. Clipse’s Let God Sort Em Out, their first album in nearly 16 years, entered at No. 4.
The Clipse project also gained attention for its lyrical content. On the song “So Be It,” Pusha T appeared to reference Travis Scott, including a nod to Scott’s 2023 album Utopia and a mention of his former relationship with Kylie Jenner. Pusha later confirmed that the lyrics were aimed at Scott and further commented on the situation in interviews, questioning the Houston rapper’s loyalty.
