Travis Scott has achieved a historic milestone by surpassing Kendrick Lamar to claim the title of the highest-grossing solo Hip-Hop tour ever. His Circus Maximus Tour, which supported the chart-topping album UTOPIA, grossed nearly $210 million and sold 1.7 million tickets across 78 shows on four continents since its October 2023 launch.
The record was previously held by Kendrick Lamar’s Big Steppers Tour, which earned $110 million. However, Scott’s achievement falls behind the $320 million grossed by the collaborative It’s All A Blur Tour featuring Drake, J. Cole, and 21 Savage.
This marks a successful period for Hip-Hop tours, with 50 Cent and Nicki Minaj also grossing over $100 million from their international runs. Notably, Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 Tour made history as the first by a female rapper to cross the $100 million mark, placing her among Black women like Beyoncé and Rihanna who have achieved similar feats.
The Circus Maximus Tour also tripled the earnings of Scott’s 2018 Astroworld – Wish You Were Here Tour, which grossed $63 million from 57 shows, underscoring his growing global appeal.
Looking ahead, Scott will take the stage at Coachella 2025, where he will curate and perform during the festival’s two April weekends. Dubbed “Travis Scott Designs The Desert,” his Cactus Jack-led effort promises an immersive experience and the debut of new music. Alongside him, headliners will include Post Malone, Green Day, and Lady Gaga.
Travis Scott’s achievements reinforce his position as one of Hip-Hop’s most prominent artists and live performers.
