Travis Scott is giving high praise to Tame Impala’s new album Deadbeat. The Houston rapper took to Instagram to call the project “the best album to come out in the last two years,” showing admiration for Kevin Parker’s psychedelic sound.
“This is the best album to come out in the last 2 years Kev you went crazy,” Travis wrote. “Like super crazy. Like bruh. Imma gonna call u soon cause I just need to know something bruhhhhhh. EVERYONE LISTEN, BUY, PLAY AND LIVE TO THIS.”
Scott and Parker previously collaborated on 2018’s ASTROWORLD track “SKELETONS,” alongside Pharrell and The Weeknd. The record was originally intended for Kanye West before landing on Travis’s project.
Parker has also shared mutual respect for Scott, telling Zane Lowe that Travis inspired his 2020 album The Slow Rush: “He doesn’t waste time doubting himself… that conviction is valuable.”
With both artists still pushing creative boundaries, fans are hopeful for another collaboration in the near future.
