Travis Scott made a surprise appearance during Playboi Carti’s opening set on The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn tour in Chicago on May 31. The two performed several tracks together, including “CRUSH” from Carti’s latest project MUSIC. Carti also used the moment to hint again at his upcoming album, believed to be titled BABY BOI. After the performance, he posted a message on Instagram thanking Scott and referencing the tour stadiums.
Meanwhile, Carti has been in a public conflict with Kanye West, a former collaborator. Their issues reportedly began after Carti removed West from MUSIC due to West’s controversial remarks online. West responded by threatening Carti, accusing him of being influenced by outside forces and of trying to involve West’s daughter in a musical project. West later claimed Carti showed up at his hotel with a gun, an accusation Carti has not addressed publicly.
The two had previously collaborated on songs such as “Off the Grid,” “Carnival,” and “Go2DaMoon” before their falling out. The situation continues to unfold publicly as Carti focuses on his tour performances and upcoming release.
