Travis Scott is celebrating as Jackboys 2 debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, earning 232,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. for the week ending July 17, according to Luminate. The new compilation marks a return to the top for Scott’s Cactus Jack collective, following the first Jackboys project that also debuted at No. 1 in early 2020.
On Instagram, Scott wrote, “THIS ONE FOR THE SQUUAAAADDDD. JB2 #1 @cactusjack,” tagging his Black-owned label and highlighting Billboard’s announcement. He also credited Cactus Jack co-founder and head of A&R Bilal “Bizzy” Joseph for leading the project, writing, “I let my brother bizzy take the wheel on this one.”
The new album features core members Travis Scott, Sheck Wes, Don Toliver, Chase B, and Luxury Tax 50, now joined by SoFaygo and newcomer Wallie the Sensei. Collaborators include Vybz Kartel, Tyla, GloRilla, Playboi Carti, and Future.
