TikTok Launches New Tools To Help Songwriters Showcase Their Music On Profiles.

TikTok is introducing two new features aimed at supporting musicians by making it easier to highlight their songs on their profiles.

The first feature adds a “Songwriter” label at the top of eligible musician profiles. Those with the label can customize the first tab of their profile to display links to their songs. Musicians can select which tracks appear and the order in which they are shown, helping potential fans discover more of their music.

While many artists already use their bio to share information, this new music tab aims to provide a clearer and more accessible way to explore an artist’s songs, especially if listeners want to find more after hearing a track in their feed.

Currently, these features are in a limited beta and not yet available on all musician profiles. Musicians interested in joining the program can sign up on a waiting list.

TikTok developed these tools based on feedback from a survey of over 800 songwriters. Jordan Lowy, TikTok’s Global Head of Music Publishing Licensing and Partnerships, said the platform offers songwriters a unique opportunity to showcase their work alongside their content, helping build their audience on TikTok.
