The Weeknd’s upcoming film Hurry Up Tomorrow will premiere for one night only on May 14. Fans can purchase tickets starting April 17, with bundles that include signed posters and t-shirts. The movie screening will also feature exclusive bonus content not shown elsewhere.
The film shares its name with The Weeknd’s February album, which debuted strongly on the Billboard 200 with 490,500 units, nearly reaching gold status in its first week. Directed by Trey Edward Shults, the psychological thriller stars Barry Keoghan, Jenna Ortega, and The Weeknd himself, marking his first feature film role. He also co-composed the score with Daniel Lopatin.
Lionsgate chair Adam Fogelson called Hurry Up Tomorrow a bold expansion of The Weeknd’s artistic vision into cinema. The film continues the narrative arc of his album trilogy, following After Hours (2020) and Dawn FM (2022). Released after delays caused by wildfires in Los Angeles, the 22-track project (plus two bonus tracks) could be The Weeknd’s final release under his stage name, concluding a decade-long run.
