The Weeknd Has The Most 2023 Juno Award Nominations With Six

The Weeknd leads the pack with six nominations for the Juno Awards, which announced the complete list of nominees today.

The Weeknd is nominated for the TikTok Juno Fan Choice Award, Single of the Year for “Sacrifice,” Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Pop Album of the Year. He little over a year ago released Dawn FM.

Tobi is up for Songwriter of the Year, while Dax and Realestk garnered nominations for Breakthrough Artist of the Year in other hip-hop categories.

Adria Kain’s When Flowers Bloom, dvsn’s “If I Get Caught,” Dylan Synclair’s No Longer in the Suburbs, Jessie Reyez’s Yessie, and Savannah Re’s “WTF” are all contenders for the Contemporary R&B Recording of the Year award.

Daniel Caesar’s “Please Do Not Lean,” Jon Vinyl’s “Palisade,” Safe’s “All I Need,” Savannah Re’s duet with Dylan Sinclair on “Last One,” and The Honest Guy’s “How to Make Love” are all included in the Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year.

Last but not least, “Alejandro Sosa” by Pengz and 6ixbuzz, “Been Himma” by Dom Vallie, “Wrath” by Freddie Dredd, “Twin Flame,” Kaytranada and Anderson Paak’s collaboration, and “Wrong Decisions” by Nav will all compete in the Rap Single of the Year category.

Simu Liu will once again serve as the host of the Juno Awards, which will take place on Monday, March 13 in Edmonton. The program will be shown on CBC.
