The "Together Again" Tour Is Announced By Janet Jackson With Ludacris As Special Guest

The first tour by Janet Jackson in four years is about to begin.

On Monday, December 12, the legendary singer revealed details of the Together Again North American Tour, which will feature Ludacris as the special guest and opening act.

“I’m going back on tour and yes we will be together again very, very soon,” Jackson said in a video posted on Instagram. “I miss you guys so much and I can’t wait to see you. Our opening show is April 14 in Hollywood, Florida. I’m so excited.”

The Citi cardholder and fan pre-sale for the Together Again Tour begins on Tuesday (December 13) at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. local performance time. On Friday, December 16, at 11 a.m. local time, the general public will have the opportunity on Live Nation’s website.

While Janet Jackson’s upcoming tour falls on a number of career milestone anniversaries, including the 30th anniversary of the release of janet, the 15th anniversary of Discipline, and the 50th anniversary of her career in show business, the 56-year-old Grammy winner confirmed that new music is on the way and will be released and performed on the road.

“Yes, there will be new music,” she said. “I know all of you, ‘Where’s the new music?’ There will be new music and my special guest will be Ludacris.”

The 33-city tour will begin on April 14 in Hollywood, Florida, and stop in a number of other cities, including Orlando, Memphis, Nashville, New York City, Toronto, Detroit, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Portland. On June 21 in Seattle, the roadshow comes to an end after more than two months.

Unbreakable, Janet Jackson’s final album, was released in 2015. She issued a deluxe version of The Velvet Rope earlier this year to mark the album’s 25th anniversary. At the beginning of the year, Ms. Jackson also debuted a four-part docuseries with the same name on A&E.
