Just when you thought the collaboration between The Simpsons and adidas sneakers couldn’t get any better, they’ve teamed up to create what might be the ultimate shoe for the spooky season.
The latest release in this iconic partnership is the fur-tastic Rivalry Lo 86 sneaker, inspired by the infamous Werewolf Flanders. This collaboration pays homage to the classic Halloween tradition of The Simpsons, which features an annual episode titled Treehouse of Horror. In the 1999 installment, the show broke its Halloween episode into three parts, one of which included “I Know What You Diddily-Iddily-Did,” where Ned Flanders transforms into a werewolf.
The Rivalry Lo sneakers boast extra fluffy underlays and creamy leather toppings, echoing the fur that bursts out of Werewolf Flanders’ regular human clothes. Additionally, the adidas shoe features a sleek pink lining that reflects the vibrant collar of Flanders’ shirt.
Notably, the sneakers also come with graphic insoles that read “I know what you did,” reminiscent of the messages found on the Simpsons’ car and house during the episode.
Year after year, The Simpsons and adidas continue to surprise fans with clever twists on classic Three-Stripes silhouettes, from Stan Smiths that honor relatable Homer memes to Forum Lo shoes that pay tribute to the family’s unmistakably colorful living space.
Now available to adidas customers in Thailand, the Rivalry Lo 86 sneaker is yet another testament to the winning partnership between The Simpsons and adidas.
