Twin sisters and rising music duo, The SiAngie Twins, sat down with Smooth on Cook’N Up 215 for an in-depth conversation covering everything from their journey in the music industry to their personal lives, relationships, and Philly’s music scene.
From “Swift Twins” to SiAngie: The Music Journey
Best known as the younger sisters of boxing champion Danny Garcia, Sisi and Angie have been making music since they were six years old. Initially performing under the name “The Swift Twins,” the duo later rebranded to SiAngie—a name chosen by their brother, who has supported their career from the start.
Angie originally focused on singing while Sisi took on rapping, but over time, both sisters leaned into a more melodic style. Signed to CJ early in their careers, they first gained viral traction around age 14, when one of their music videos hit over a million views. Since then, they’ve collaborated with artists like Mickey Woods and have continued to grow their presence in the industry.
A Glimpse Into Their Personal Lives
Beyond music, the identical twins share an unbreakable bond. In third grade, they once swapped classes to help each other with a math test, and growing up, they kept a “Burn Book” (inspired by Mean Girls) filled with future goals and vision-board sketches.
Raised in a Puerto Rican household, they describe their father as protective, which kept them from pursuing boxing despite Danny’s encouragement. However, their love for music and business ventures flourished.
When it comes to relationships, the twins have strong opinions on loyalty. They believe many men engage in “micro-cheating”—flirting or entertaining other women without crossing physical lines. They also admit to a double standard, as they don’t allow their partners to have female best friends but believe their own male friendships are strictly platonic.
“I’m a lover girl,” Angie revealed, hinting at her more affectionate nature.
Philly’s Music Scene & Future Plans
The SiAngie Twins named their top five Philly artists, giving props to the late PnB Rock, Lil Uzi Vert, Meek Mill, and Nyla (Gilly’s daughter), while also highlighting female artists like Jani and Lay Banks.
Though they haven’t worked with many local artists yet, they’re open to collaborations and plan to expand their sound beyond their signature R&B vibe. Their 2025 goal? More consistency in releasing music. They admit their perfectionism has slowed down their output, but with a solid catalog and over 300K YouTube subscribers, they’re determined to keep pushing forward.
Currently, they’re promoting their EP 777, working on new visuals, and gearing up to drop a fresh single in the coming months.
With big aspirations in both music and business, The SiAngie Twins are ready to take their careers to the next level.
