The Parler Deal With Kanye West Has Ended

Kanye West’s contract with Parler has ended because the two parties reportedly decided not to proceed with Ye’s purchase of the platform.

Shortly after his contentious appearance on far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ InfoWars show on Thursday afternoon, Kanye declared that his pursuit of Parler was done (December 1).

“In response to numerous media inquiries, Parlement Technologies would like to confirm that the company has mutually agreed with Ye to terminate the intent of sale of Parler. “This decision was made in the interest of both parties in mid-November,” Parler wrote on Twitter.

It added: “Parler will continue to pursue future opportunities for growth and the evolution of the platform for our vibrant community.”

Kanye West had previously agreed to buy the conservative social media site from Candance Owens’ husband, George Farmer, who is the current CEO of the business, in a transaction for an unknown sum in October.

“In a world where conservative opinions are considered controversial, we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves,” the Chicago mogul said in a statement during the period.

The deal’s financial details weren’t disclosed, although Parler had already secured $56 million in outside capital.

Since former president Donald Trump claimed he was being unfairly silenced by Twitter and other popular applications, the platform has become a favorite with conservatives.

Due to its involvement in the Capitol building riots on January 6, 2021, major tech companies like Google and Amazon blacklisted Parler last year. Parler was first introduced in 2018.

Kanye praised Adolf Hitler during his InfoWars presentation for his purported contributions to society aside from his role as an anti-Semitic murderer.

“Well, I see good things about Hitler also,” Kanye said. “I love everyone, and Jewish people are not gonna tell me.” “You can love us, and you can love what we’re doing to you with the contracts, and you can love what we’re pushing with the pornography, but this guy who invented highways, who invented the very microphone I use as a musician, you can’t say out loud that this person ever did anything good, and I’m done with that.”

He continued: “I’m done with the classification.” “Every human being has something of value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler.”
