The Most Expensive Home Ever Built In California Is Jay-Z & Beyoncé's New $200m Mansion.

After investing $200 million in a brand-new mansion in Malibu, California, JAY-Z and Beyoncé have once again made history.

The pair, who closed on the house this month, though a specific date wasn’t provided, allegedly received a discount, paying about $100 million less than the property’s initial list price.

The home was purchased by JAY-Z and Beyoncé for the second-highest price ever in a home sale in the history of the United States and California, respectively.

The all-concrete residence, which has a staggering 30,000 square feet and is situated on eight acres in Billionaire’s Row in Malibu, was created by Tadao Ando, a renowned Japanese architect who is also working on Kanye West’s Malibu home.

The billionaire couple’s newest real estate addition to their expanding financial empire is this mega-purchase.

In 2017, JAY-Z and Beyoncé used a $52.8 million mortgage to buy their $88 million Bel-Air property. According to the Los Angeles Times, if the interest rate is 4%, that translates to monthly mortgage payments of $252,075 over the course of 30 years.

On a two-acre property, the opulent pad offers 30,000 square feet of living space, a full-size basketball court, four outdoor swimming pools, a spa, and staff housing.

After consistently losing out on their home over the previous three years, the two finally won it. They spent $150,000 a month renting a house in Los Angeles while looking.

As of right now, David Geffen’s $85 million purchase of Malibu earlier this year is surpassed by their $1 million domain as the biggest acquisition in Los Angeles County. It is L.A.’s sixth-largest single-family house sale ever.

The couple has a lot of Los Angeles real estate, but just a few months after an arsonist tried to burn down their New Orleans property, they also placed it up for sale.

Hip Hop’s first family reportedly advertised the 13,000+ square foot property for $4.45 million, which was pennies for them but unquestionably a great come-up for someone looking to live in the space that Hov and Queen B once called home.

The estate, a former Presbyterian church, was constructed in 1925 and is situated in New Orleans’ renowned Garden District. It contains seven bedrooms and eight baths. It has been renovated over the years to double as a significant event venue for the city in addition to being a more than spacious residence.
