In honor of the Golden State Warriors’ 2022 NBA victory, the White House asked special guests E-40, Too $hort, and Mistah F.A.B. to attend.
The Bay Area rap legends joined The Dubs for another trip to the White House on Tuesday (January 17), and the devoted fan trio didn’t take the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for granted. The Dubs, who won their fourth championship in eight years last season, brought along a few Bay Area rap legends with them.
“From magazine street to the executive suite, you can call me White House Water,” E-40 wrote on Instagram next to photos of him, Short, and F.A.B. posing next to Vice President Kamala Harris and recently-departed Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
40 Water also referred to himself as a “Ballatician” in another post that featured him in front of a portrait of former President Barack Obama, a reference to his 2002 album Grit & Grind.
Andre Iguodala, the 2015 NBA Finals MVP, described it as the “greatest part” of his fourth trip to the White House, while Mistah F.A.B. described the experience as “a life changer.” Members of the Warriors team were pleased that the Hip Hop dignitaries were there.
