The Global State Of Relief Fund Offers Emergency Cash Assistance To Black Women Facing Financial Hardship.

Black women facing financial challenges may soon have access to emergency cash assistance through The Global State of Relief Fund. This fund, sponsored by Teknique Cares, a nonprofit focused on beauty and wellness, provides one-time grants ranging from $500 to $1,500 to help cover everyday expenses. The fund prioritizes Black women who are unemployed, caregivers, single mothers, or working in industries with high recent layoffs, including government, retail, and tech.

The organization emphasizes immediate action rather than waiting for systemic changes. To support more women, it accepts donations and offers a free Patreon community for job seekers to receive peer support and career advice.

Recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows Black women’s unemployment rate at 6%, double that of white women. Job cuts in the federal workforce earlier this year disproportionately affected Black women, with nearly 300,000 losing their jobs since May 2025. According to Andre Perry, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, several factors contribute to these challenges, including layoffs, tariff impacts on small businesses, and negative perceptions of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

Those interested in emergency cash assistance can complete a questionnaire and expect a review period of 5 to 7 business days.
