This week, DMX: NO BS, a new documentary about the artist’s cultural influence, will have its Tubi debut.
The documentary, which was filmed by TMZ, will look at the late Ruff Ryders legend’s rapid rise and sad fall, as well as how his unadulterated authenticity gave him one of Hip Hop’s most potent voices.
The narrative stated that “DMX is one of rap’s most iconic figures, rising to superstardom after emerging from Yonkers’ streets to the top of the music world.” “Earl Simmons’ life was beset by a number of legal and personal issues despite his phenomenal accomplishment.
One of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time is profiled in “TMZ NO BS: DMX Presents the Story” along with the “demons that tormented him until his untimely death.”
The documentary’s brief teaser trailer, which debuted on Wednesday (May 16), features numerous segments of some of DMX’s greatest professional achievements as well as some of his biggest mistakes.
NO BS, DMX arrives soon after Swizz Beatz commemorated the 25th anniversary of X’s iconic track “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem,” and how the song finally launched both his and X’s careers.
On May 5, 1998, 25 years ago, Swizz said on Instagram that “my life changed forever on this day.” “Ruff Ryders Roll like That! The Ruff Ryders Anthem was released on May 5, 1998. Can you believe DMX lighted up our screens with his Mega talent 25 years ago?! @hiphop50 Live long, my brother @dmx! General Over Everything @waahdean, Ruff Ryders for Life.
“Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” was the third single from DMX’s debut album It’s Dark & Hell is Hot, and even though it initially peaked at No. 93 on the Billboard Hot 100, it eventually hit a new high of No. 16 after X’s passing in April 2021.
Swizz Beatz also said that the late rap icon visited him in a vivid dream one night and assured him that he was doing fine in a recent interview with The Breakfast Club.
The producer remarked, “Man, honestly, it doesn’t even feel like he’s gone.” It simply seems as though he is away, relaxing. Then the anniversary will arrive, or I’ll speak to his fiancée or his son, and I’ll be like, “Whoa.”
“I saw him in my dream,” he added. He approached me. Additionally, this went by really quickly. He also informed me that he was good. He hasn’t come to see you; what are you talking about, I’m the one who says. I noticed him. I could smell him, I could feel him, but I couldn’t hear him speak.
