Louis Vuitton has teamed up with Timberland to bring a touch of high-fashion to the classic 6-Inch Boot, another example of hip-hop culture merging with the world of high-end style. The collaboration, unveiled through the @skateboard Instagram account, created to showcase Pharrell’s work at LV and its influences, is not a radical departure from the iconic design but rather a heartfelt tribute to it.
Distinctive features adorn the boot’s details, including a laser-engraved Louis Vuitton logo on the front of the tongue, the brand’s signature monogram subtly featured on the rear of the tongue and lateral heel, and co-branded hangtags. The full unveiling of this collaboration is anticipated during Louis Vuitton’s FW24 show at Paris Fashion Week, scheduled for 8 PM CET on January 16.
This collaboration seamlessly aligns with Pharrell’s bold and street-savvy approach during his tenure at Louis Vuitton. His well-received SS24 show showcased items that effortlessly transitioned from New York City streets to the Parisian runway. The collection featured innovative designs, such as a pixelated camo reinterpretation of the iconic Damier pattern, vibrant oversized logo-adorned Speedy bags, premium baseball jackets, and chunky Trainer Maxi sneakers. Additionally, Louis Vuitton introduced various Timberland-inspired silhouettes, including Pharrell’s Checker ankle boot and the Ranger Ankle Boot.
The initial glimpse of this new collaboration is provided above, with further details expected to be revealed soon. Stay tuned for updates.
