The Alchemist and Hit-Boy have announced their long-awaited joint album Goldfish, set to arrive this Friday (October 24). The project spans 15 tracks and features Havoc, Conway The Machine, Boldy James, Jay Worthy, Big Hit, and Johnathan Hulett. Fans have already heard two singles: “Business Merger” and “Celebration Moments” featuring Havoc.
Alongside the album comes a short film of the same name, starring The Alchemist and Hit-Boy alongside Danny Trejo, Simon Rex, Rory Culkin, Blake Anderson, and Gerald “Slink” Johnson. It also features acting debuts from Conway The Machine, Lefty Gunplay, and Big Twins, with Abteen Bagheri-Fard directing. The film follows a crew of hitmen posing as carpet cleaners who get caught in a chaotic web of crime and escape.
Goldfish continues a prolific year for both producers. The Alchemist has released projects with Freddie Gibbs, Larry June & 2 Chainz, and contributed to Mobb Deep’s Infinite. Hit-Boy has stayed busy with collaborations alongside Jay Electronica, 03 Greedo, and BabyTron, while celebrating his release from an 18-year publishing deal with help from JAY-Z and Roc Nation’s Desiree Perez.
