The owner of Dream Chasers revealed last month that the popular series would return with a fifth episode that would be released very soon.
Flamerz 5 will be released on November 21. Meek Mill announced this on Instagram on Wednesday, (November 9). A clip of brand-new music and some behind-the-scenes video was included with the announcement.
“FLAMERZ 5 ‘for promotional use only’ NOV. 21st [five flame emojis] for free for the streets,” Meek captioned his post.
In 2008, Meek Mill launched his wildly popular Flamerz series, which helped the rapper gain notoriety in his native Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Black Thought, Freeway, Gillie Da Kid, and other artists made appearances in the last edition, which was released in March 2010.
Flamerz 5 will be Meek’s sixth studio album and will be the follow-up to Expensive Pain, which was released in October 2021 and had the bonus track “Flamerz Flow.” Additional information is still scarce.
Following Meek Mill’s revelation of plans for a special homecoming event in Philadelphia to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his debut album Dreams and Nightmares, the mixtape announcement was made not long after.
On November 26, a group of VIPs will perform with the MMG rapper at the Wells Fargo Center.
In terms of brand-new music, last month Meek Mill posted a sneak peek of a freestyle he recorded over Ice Spice’s popular song “Munch (Feelin’ U)” on social media.
Prior to that, in September, Meek released “Early Mornings,” his first brand-new song of 2022, and he also hinted at a forthcoming project with Lil Uzi Vert. Additionally, he stated that he would start that month by releasing 10 new mixtapes, but nothing materialized.
