Takeoff Tribute Tattoo Sets Guinness World Record

Since his untimely passing, TakeOff has been memorialized in numerous ways, but one tattoo artist and some of his colleagues have gone above and beyond to show their love and respect for the late member of the Migos.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a 79-foot piece of silicone skin was used to construct a mural honoring the late Atlanta rapper by tattoo artist J.R. Outlaw and his colleagues at Atlanta tattoo parlors such as Atlanta Ink, Iron Palm Tattoos & Body Piercing, and Pèse Noir. Takeoff is seen in the artwork donning a spacesuit that is colored brown, orange, and green.

The TakeOff painting has recently been named the largest tattoo artwork in the world by Guinness World Records due to its size.

“I think Takeoff was just a big influence in the city and the culture of Atlanta, like in general,” Outlaw said to the aforementioned outlet. “Really, the entire crew was involved. We simply wanted to do something to honor him since they had such a profound impact on the city; that’s truly what it was all about.

In April, Offset honored Take with a sizable tattoo of his own.

At the time, he revealed his new tattoo on Instagram, displaying the enormous piece that covered his entire back.

“Love you 4L & after,” he said in the caption.
