Boston rapper Suriel has officially released Pressure II, the follow-up to his May project Pressure which featured seven tracks and showcased collaborations with fellow Boston artists. The new installment arrived today, July 4, and is now available on all major streaming platforms.
The announcement came earlier this week via Instagram, where Suriel revealed the cover art for Pressure II — a visually striking image of the artist seated across from himself in an outdoor chess match. He credited the concept to @nephss and wrote:
“PRESSURE II – JULY 4
Concept by @nephss
This might be my favorite cover yet. What do y’all think?”
In a promotional video posted just hours before the drop, Suriel called Pressure II his “strongest body of work to date,” highlighting a creative stretch that involved experimenting with new flows and sonic textures. “I think it is the best album for the summer,” he added.
As of today, Pressure II is live and streaming on all major digital platforms.
