Suriel is entering a new phase of his career — and he’s doing it on his own terms.
The artist recently took to Instagram to share a personal update, revealing the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. In a candid post, Suriel reflected on the breakup of Goodluck Records at the end of 2024, citing creative and business differences that led to the group parting ways.
“With that chapter of my life closed, I wanted to try something I hadn’t really had the courage or opportunity to do — dedicate myself entirely to music and my dream,” he wrote.
According to Suriel, the decision to fully commit to music came after a period of uncertainty. Aided by a friend-turned-business partner, Prez, Suriel was introduced to real estate investments and other opportunities that helped him transition to focusing solely on his music career.
During this period of change, Suriel began working on a new project with producer Teathetruth. The result is Pressure — an album that Suriel says captures the mindset he had during this pivotal time.
“To me, this album captures the mentality of where I was at the time — uncertain about how to go about my future, feeling the anxiety that I have to go harder than ever before, and under pressure that I put on myself to prove I can do this,” he shared. “PRESSURE captures that turning point — the moment I decided to go all in.”
Suriel describes the project as a mix of aggressive and introspective tracks, all rooted in growth, resilience, and hunger.
In 2025, Suriel launched Hustle Music Group, his new company. By March, he had quit his job of eight years and moved to Puerto Rico to pursue music and new ventures full-time.
“It’s not just about surviving the pressure,” he said. “It’s about applying it.”
PRESSURE is set for release on May 5, 2025.
