All pieces from Snoop Dogg’s “Ashes to Art” collection, featuring smoked marijuana roaches transformed into artwork, have been sold. The collection was presented by The Joint Venture and showcased the unique concept of turning remnants of iconic smoke sessions into art. According to Chronic Guru, a “roach” is defined as the end of any blunt, spliff, joint, or other rolled cannabis product.
The artwork, created by Erica Kovitz, reimagines these remnants into bold, one-of-a-kind pieces. Each work blends pigment, resin, and glitter, and is signed by Snoop Dogg himself. Every panel was custom-framed, professionally mounted, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The pieces are described as part relic, part rebellion, reflecting hip hop history, pop culture, and the ritual of smoking itself.
The online auction began on August 15 with bids starting at $10,000 and concluded on August 18. Seven pieces were featured in the collection, with sales ranging from $9,000 to $70,000, according to 32 Auctions. The pieces quickly found collectors who valued the combination of Snoop’s personal involvement and the artistic representation of cannabis culture.
In addition to his involvement in art, Snoop Dogg has expanded his investments into sports. He recently joined the ownership group of Swansea City Football Club in the Premier League ahead of the 2025-26 season. On the club’s official website, Snoop expressed his enthusiasm for joining the club: “My love of football is well known, but it feels special to me that I make my move into club ownership with Swansea City. The story of the club and the area really struck a chord with me. This is a proud, working-class city and club. An underdog that bites back, just like me.”
Swansea City captain Ben Cabango noted that Snoop’s addition to the ownership group, along with Croatian professional footballer Luka Modric, has generated significant excitement around the club. He said that the new ownership has created “the most buzz for a long time,” signaling a renewed interest in both the team and its future in the Premier League.
