Snoop Dogg shared that he only works with companies that support his community. In a recent interview with Time for its 100 Most Influential People of 2025 list, the rapper and entrepreneur explained that he approaches brand deals with a focus on social impact.
“You can pay me, but that ain’t all we doing,” he said. “We gonna make sure you take care of this community initiative that I have. And it could be silent or it can be loud, but that’s a part of the deal as well.”
Snoop was also asked whether he’s concerned about being involved in too many ventures. He responded that the issue is less about quantity and more about ownership. “The way you framing it, with all due respect, is like I’ll do anything,” he said. “I want you to frame it like I’ll do anything if I own the brand. That’s a big difference. So me marketing and branding for a company — if I don’t own it, I ain’t f—ing with it.”
In addition to his business activities, Snoop recently collaborated with country singer ERNEST on a new song titled “Gettin’ Gone.” Released April 9, the track was co-written by Snoop, ERNEST, Ben Hayslip, Rhett Akins, and Mark Holman, and produced by Jacob Durrett. It marks the first release under ERNEST’s new label, DeVille Records, in partnership with Big Loud Records.
Snoop is also preparing for the release of his upcoming gospel album Altar Call, scheduled to come out on April 27.
