“Sleep Soul Relaxing R&B Baby Sleep Music Vol. 2,” a collection of tranquil R&B lullabies for parents and children, is the work of R&B/soul performer Jhene Aiko.

The 20-song album perfects Sleep Soul’s trademark blending of hazy and calming R&B songs with white, pink, and brown noise soundscapes designed to soothe you and your infant to sleep for the night. The mother of two and multi-platinum R&B pioneer also executive produced each song. On November 8, Aiko and Big Sean had a son named Noah Hasani. Namiko Love Browner, Aiko’s daughter, is 14 years old.

The lullabies are around an hour and fifteen minutes long, and the instrumentation, rhythm, and beats of the songs have a Jhene Aiko sound and feel to them. You might not even realize these are lullabies. The white, pink, or brown noise escapes are played after each lullaby before the next one begins.

In regards to Sleep Soul, Aiko noted, “I’m super excited to partner with Sleep Soul to share this R&B lullaby album.” As a mom of a newborn, I can really appreciate anything that helps me and my baby boy get to sleep. These R&B lullaby tracks help soothe and relax Mom, Dad, and baby. “Being a part of a project like this is important to me because I believe sleep is essential for the well-being of both parent and child.”

Sleep Soul published Sleep Soul Volume 1 in March 2022. Since the debut of Volume 1, Sleep Soul has collaborated with the sleep and meditation app Calm. The release of Sleep Soul Relaxing R&B Baby Sleep Music Vol. 2 will take place on Thursday, December 15 on the website’s new music releases page and in their newsletter, which has more than 1,000,000 subscribers.

Aiko is a six-time Grammy-nominated author, poet, and singer-songwriter who was born and raised in Los Angeles.
