Samsung Launches AI Subscription Club For Galaxy Devices And Ballie Robot

Samsung plans to introduce a subscription service for Galaxy smartphones and its Ballie home robot in Korea, according to ETNews. Dubbed the AI Subscription Club, the service covers the cost of devices and maintenance but is separate from Samsung’s Galaxy AI features.

Galaxy phones will join the subscription service next month, said Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee. Ballie, Samsung’s AI-powered home companion robot, will also be available through the program.

First unveiled in 2020, Ballie is a round robot designed to assist with home routines, pet entertainment, and fitness tracking. At CES 2025, Samsung demonstrated features like video projection, pet engagement, and workout monitoring. Ballie will launch in Korea and the U.S. in early 2025, with pricing still undisclosed.

ETNews did not confirm whether the AI Subscription Club will expand to the U.S. Apple offers a similar program with its iPhone Upgrade Program, and Samsung may follow suit. The company is expected to announce more details during its Galaxy Unpacked event on Jan. 22.
