Russ apparently solicited a hefty eight-figure offer but has now revealed why he has no plans to sell his music archive.
“My catalogue is not for sale because IN MY OPINION, music is an extension of the soul so selling the RIGHTS away of my music is the epitome of selling my soul,” he explained.
“I’m not letting some random company own my soul and my creations. Plus I’ll make more $ in perpetuity by keeping it.”
Russ also expressed his position on Instagram, stating in the caption that he did so to “clear the air” because blogs had been “postin things” in response to prior remarks he had made regarding his catalog.
