Rolling Loud is expanding to India. The global hip-hop festival will make its debut in Mumbai, adding to its existing editions in the U.S., Thailand, and other international locations. This marks the festival’s entry into its ninth country. The event will be produced in partnership with District by Zomato, a booking and discovery platform, and will be exclusively ticketed through the app.
Rolling Loud co-founders Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif shared their excitement in a joint statement, saying they were surprised and thrilled to bring the festival to India. They noted the country’s growing hip-hop scene as a key reason for the expansion, emphasizing the goal of connecting Indian fans with both local and international artists.
The two-day event in Mumbai will feature two main stages, along with local food vendors, art installations, and other activities celebrating both Indian and global hip-hop. While dates and the venue are yet to be announced, organizers promise a mix of global superstars and rising Indian talent.
District by Zomato CEO Rahul Ganjoo highlighted the festival’s significance, calling it a cultural moment that amplifies India’s place in the global hip-hop conversation. He described Rolling Loud India as a way to connect Indian sound with the wider world and acknowledged the momentum behind the local hip-hop scene.
Since launching in 2015, Rolling Loud has hosted festivals in cities such as New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and Toronto, and countries including Australia, Germany, and Portugal. Past performers have included major names like Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, Cardi B, and Future.
Tickets for Rolling Loud India will be available only through the District app. Fans can stay updated on lineups and additional details by following the app and the @districtupdates Instagram page.
