Rolling Loud co-founder Tariq Cherif revealed in a recent livestream with Adin Ross and DJ Akademiks that Drake has consistently declined the festival’s offers to perform.
“Yo, facts,” Cherif said during the stream. “I send an offer to Drake every year. … We send him our max offer, millions of dollars.” Despite the repeated attempts, Drake has yet to appear at the popular hip-hop festival.
Cherif also addressed Kanye West’s (Ye) involvement, saying the artist is always welcome at Rolling Loud. Ye was scheduled to headline Miami in 2022 but pulled out last minute. He returned in 2024 alongside Ty Dolla $ign, performing songs from their album Vultures 1.
Rolling Loud continues to expand internationally, debuting in Mumbai, India, this weekend. Headliners include Central Cee, Wiz Khalifa, Karan Aujla, and Don Toliver. Cherif and co-founder Matt Zingler highlighted India’s growing hip-hop scene as a key reason for the festival’s global expansion.
