As fans await her Super Bowl LVII Halftime performance, Rihanna’s record-breaking eighth studio album, “ANTI has re-entered the Billboard 200 album chart.
Chart Data indicates that the album has not only returned to the chart this week but has also broken back into the top 100. ANTI has now been on the Billboard 200 for a total of 351 weeks, including two weeks when it was at the top.
The information was released the same week that Rihanna celebrated not only receiving her first Academy Award nomination but also receiving a number of new Platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
On Saturday (January 28), “Same Ol’ Mistakes” and “Higher,” two songs from the 2016 album, received their first Platinum certifications; meanwhile, “Desperado,” “Kiss It Better,” “Needed Me,” and “Love On The Brain” all received additional Platinum certifications. The lead single from ANTI, “Work,” featuring Drake, has achieved 9x Platinum certification and is the album’s best-selling track.
With the addition of her most recent Platinum awards, Rihanna has increased her record of selling 161.5 million certified singles, the most of any female artist in RIAA history.
