Rihanna has appointed a replacement to take over as CEO of her lingerie line Savage X Fenty now that she has formally resigned from the position.
On Monday, June 26, the famous singer will reportedly retire, according to Vogue Business. The position has been filled for the past five years, ever since the company was founded in 2018.
Hillary Super, a former CEO of the Anthropologie Group, will take over, while Rihanna will continue to serve in a leadership capacity as executive chair.
“It’s been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years,” Rihanna said in a statement to the magazine. “This is just the beginning for us, and we’ll keep growing in ways that always connect with the customer,” the company said.
“I’m so grateful and thrilled to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO—she is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level,” the woman continued.
For the time being, Rihanna still serves as the CEO of the multibillion dollar cosmetics business Fenty Beauty, which she established in 2017.
The announcement comes amid suspicions that the “Diamonds” singer married her boyfriend and children’s father A$AP Rocky due to remarks he made this week while performing in Cannes.
On Wednesday night (June 21), the Harlem rapper performed a Spotify Beach set at the 2023 Cannes Lions Festival. He allegedly referred to RiRi as his wife while she was in the audience and watched from the stage, which sparked rumors of a covert wedding.
This song is dedicated to my stunning wife who is located in the muthafuckin’ building. Billboard quotes Rocky as saying this before performing his 2022 song, “D.M.B.”
Rocky’s remarks may have been a play on the fact that in the music video for the song in question, which also features Rihanna, he asks her to marry him by writing “Marry Me” through his grills, to which she responds “I do” while grinning through her teeth.
Rocky’s performance had just begun when RiRi got there at the venue about 12:45 a.m.
