Reddit Adds Tools To Help Users Follow Rules And Track Post Performance.

Reddit has introduced several new features designed to support users in following subreddit rules and improving how their posts perform. One of the central updates is a tool called Post Check, which helps users review their content before sharing it. Represented by a wand-like icon above the keyboard, the feature checks whether a post might break a subreddit’s guidelines. If a potential violation is found, the user will have the chance to revise the post. Reddit plans to test this tool first on iOS and Android devices.

Another feature, Post Recovery, offers suggestions for other communities where a removed post might be accepted. If a submission is taken down, users will see recommendations for alternative subreddits where similar content is welcome.

Reddit has also begun displaying posting requirements on certain communities, such as minimum account age or karma. If users are ineligible to post, the platform will explain why and offer suggestions on how to meet those requirements. According to Reddit, this change is meant to reduce confusion and increase successful submissions.

The platform will now also suggest relevant communities during the posting process. When a user creates a post, the “Select a Community” button will update with subreddit recommendations, helping users reach audiences more likely to engage with their content.

Lastly, Reddit introduced a tool called Post Insights, which gives users access to basic analytics. These include metrics like views, upvotes, shares, and more. The feature is intended to help users better understand how their content performs and make improvements over time.

All new tools except for Post Check are currently available on both desktop and mobile versions of Reddit.
